Free Cuts. More fun in UP Diliman.
I just parted ways with Griffin in front of the Chem Pav. Slowly I was trudging to my next class, Bio 1. I trudged slowly and reflected how stressful this day has been for me. From “buffering” in my worksheet on Chem 17, to that killer question in the Math 53 LE3 which I wasn’t able to answer due to its difficulty and lack of time, to suddenly dashing from NIGS to MB because I forgot that I had to meet Tommy there due to my airheadness induced by my Math 53 LE3, only to find out that he forgot about it as well, to walking the wrong way from MB to NIP, to that scorching heat as Emily and I walked from NIP to Chem Pav whilst following Ariel (we lost him though), to still “buffering” in Chem 17 lec which I couldn’t quite know by heart.
This week has been too stressful for me. And mind you, this week is one of those RDR and FR-less week. Of course, I’d experience more stress with those RDRs and FRs looming in.
Finally, I reached PH 4105, where my Bio 1 class is held. We would have a new professor for the second half of the course, and we haven’t met him/her yet because he was absent last Wednesday. Somehow, I hoped for a freecut earlier.
I finally dropped my stuff onto my seat and went to the comfort room to answer nature’s call. Dropping my stuff felt better. A lot better.
Finally, after some time, I returned to PH 4105 and sat on my chair. The breeze of the airconditioner caressed my cheeks, and somehow it eased my stress. Still, I was waiting for our professor to arrive.
Around 2:40pm. A woman entered the halls of our classroom. I presumed that she was going to be our new professor, but I noticed something weird. She wasn’t carrying stuff that a professor would normally bring to his/her class. In fact, she wasn’t carrying anything at all—just herself. Then, the next thing I knew, she made a resounding announcement to our class.
“Wala pa kayong klase. Sa Wednesday pa.”
All my stress wore off. That just made my weekend.
